Ural Owl

This truly is a wonderful and inspiring wildlife macro, it almost looks like the owl is ready to wake up and kill some food, or just relaxing after a long day of hunting, flying and navigating.

The minuet details in the feathers are breathtaking. The feathers are very clear to see, and you are able to see every little detail in each feather. Beautiful. The feathers also give a lovely "layered" look. It gives amazing depth in the eye.

The clarity in this photograph is amazing. The blurry part at the top really brings the viewers eyes down to the owl's closed eyes. I'd really love to see what the eyes looked like.

The contrast is exceptional, and the background blends nicely. The brown transitioning to green makes the owl almost pop out of the screen.
